KORE BENDIX
A graduate of Liberty University, Kore Bendix left Lynchburg, Virginia with a major in Biblical Studies but most importantly his beautiful wife of eleven years, Heather Bendix. Together, they have had the privilege to parent four amazing and spirited kids ranging from 9 down to 3.
Kore has been in ministry of all kinds for over ten years. He began ministry as a youth pastor serving Grace Covenant Church in Rocky Mount, NC as he spearheaded an outreach to inner city un-churched teens called Oneighty. In 2006 he moved to Northern Virginia where he served as the youth pastor of Grace Covenant Church where he was fortunate to take a group of 25 kids and through God’s grace create an environment where 220 kids could be served. In 2011 he became the outreach Pastor of Grace Covenant Church as he focused on local and global outreach and evangelism. His heart was focused on equipping the church to reach and serve the community and the world through love in action. In January of 2013, the Bendix family responded to a call to move to Orlando, Florida to serve Orlando World Outreach Center as their Associate Pastor and ENCM director.
Kore has an ongoing passion for athletes of all kinds and ages and has been privileged to serve FCA as a character coach and chaplain for numerous schools over the last six years. He also was honored to serve Pastor Brett Fuller, as his assistant chaplain to the Washington Redskins for three years.
To stay sane in the midst of ministry and home responsibilities, Kore has fell in love with the wonderful world of triathlons and long distance running. He has just finished his 3rd Half Ironman triathlon and has recently completed his 2nd Marathon.
